Legendary journeymen The Poets of Rhythm aka Karl Hector & The Malcouns are back to build on their devastating Whelans show in June 07. The new album is a psychedelic afro number that once again breaks boundaries for the band’s sound and also for the label Now & Again, Egon from Stones Throws reissue label. Since the epin Discerne/Define was released the Poets have been constantly learning new sounds, rhyhtms, touring in their Bus around the world playing with musicians, their sound is timeless and this LP could be out at the time of Mulatu. It’s highly recommended (DJ Shadow & David Holmes and their number one fans). The name Steinski is synonymous in Hip Hop and DJ culture, co creator with Douglas Di Franco on the cut and paste classic The Lessons, released on Tommy Boy, original 12’s are highly sought after collectibles and it’s a testament to Steve’s career that his DVD Anthology out on Illegal Art has received the highest accolades this year, reviews earning the highest average stateside.
