This is the shit. Dizzy Footwork (1985 all ireland break dance/b-boy champions) on the worlds longest running chat show, THE LATE LATE SHOW.
Always one to break the mold the Late Late Show invited the Dizzy Footwork crew onto the show in 1985 to showcase their undeniable skills. Check out the end though – their appearance on the 6 O’clock news which was a feature regarding their Irish tour in conjunction with 1985 being the “world youth culture year”
The best bit of the whole vid is that loveable loon Twink at the end who opens the tour. She’s introduced as wanting to alert the Irish nation that there’s “more to young people than drugs and joyriding”. THANK GOD breakdancing came along when it did and saved all of us young people back in ’85 from the evils of drugs and joyriding. We are all better off for it…

I remember seeing this the first time around, i’d just learnt how to break using a K-Tel release called ‘Breakdance – You can do it’ by Alex & The City Crew.
It never saved me from the drugs and joyriding, thank jaysus.
